Do I need a sleeping bag liner as well?
Although you don't need a sleeping bag liner they do perform a number of useful functions. Firstly they offer a layer between you and your sleeping bag which is much easier to clean than your sleeping bag. Secondly they increase the temperature at which you can use your bag which is great if your are heading to cooler as well as warm climates. Should I get a square or mummy shaped sleeping bag?
Generally the style of sleeping bag you get is down to personal preference - some people prefer the freedom a square bag gives thier legs whereas others like being wrapped up in a mummy shape! Mummy sleeping bags are generally better at keeping your internal heat higher but both style bags will perform well these days.
