Orders from the Gap Year Travel Store are shipped via Royal Mail or Citylink from lovely Leeds. We use a live stock system so you can only buy what we currently have in the warehouse. Stock quantities can be seen on each product page. If for some reason your items are found to be out of stock we will contact you immediately and advise of the delay.
Royal Mail First Class - your order will arrive in approximately three to five days. Starts at £2.99
Citylink Courier - You can choose either next working day (£6.95) or a 2 working day service (£5.95). For orders to arrive next day they must be ordered before 1pm. If your order is heavy or of a high value we may send it out via courier at no extra charge. Please note that someone must be available to sign for the parcel.
PLEASE NOTE: The estimated delivery times stated above are provided as a reference by Royal Mail. We cannot be held responsible for deliveries which take longer to arrive. If you feel your delivery has been lost in transit please see below.
:: How Much Will Delivery Cost?
Our delivery charges are calculated by the exact weight of your order. As you add an item to the shopping cart it will indicate the delivery charges. Adding more items will increase the postage based on the weight of those items. Our prices include delivery costs, warehouse handling, physical packaging and staff time.
Delivery starts at £2.99 for Royal Mail, £5.95 for a 2 day courier service and £6.95 for a next day service.
:: Returns
You have the right to return your goods at any time up to the end of 14 working days after you receive the goods (see below). To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give notice to us by phone or email, giving details of the goods ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. If you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to us at your own cost. You must take reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit. If returned goods arrive in a damaged or unsaleable condition you will not receive a refund.Unless the order is found to be faulty you will only be refunded the value of the items and not the postage.
:: Orders Lost in Transit
Due to Royal Mail terms and conditions of postage we must wait 14 days before declaring an order lost in transit. If you feel that your order is taking longer than expected to arrive please contact us.
:: Undelivered Items Returned to Us
If an order is returned to us by the courier because the customer did not collect or rearrange another delivery we will have to charge a second delivery.
