The Vango Freedom II is a globetrotter’s best friend with useful travel-related feature and a durable construction to withstand the demands of long-distance travel. The Freedom II comprises a 60 litre main compartment and removable 20 litre daypack, which is ideal for using as hand luggage and for daily use once you reach your destination. The backpack is constructed from innovative Protex 4:2 fabrics, which offer exceptional durability while maintaining a low weight.
Main Backpack
The Freedom II comes with a 60 litre main compartment, complete with a full length zip opening for easy packing and access. The main compartment also includes internal compression straps and a drawcord gaiter to help compress your clothes and maximise packing space, as well as a zipped pocket for storing laundry or accessories. The outside of the backpack benefits from external compression straps, which help to reduce the overall volume of the bag and stabilise its contents.
Detachable Daypack
The 20 litre detachable daypack has a twin compartment design to keep your essentials organised, with a hydration compatible main compartment for hands-free hydration on day hikes during your trip. The front compartment includes 2 x mesh organiser pockets and you also get a large stash front pocket with a small internal pocket, perfect for storing your passport, travel documents and other items you need to keep close to hand. The daypack also benefits from an airmesh back panel and shoulder straps for comfortable carrying and can be clipped to the front of the main backpack for added security in unknown areas and pick-pocket hot spots!
Back System
The Freedom II is equipped with Vango’s Quick Adjust back system, which allows you to easily adjust the harness to your required height for a more comfortable fit. The shoulder straps are also padded with airmesh material to help increase air flow and keep your back cool and comfortable, even in warmer climates. The back system also boasts an ergonomically padded hip belt and a contoured alloy frame for improved stability and even load distribution. To avoid damage in transit, the back system can be zipped away behind a protective cover for flights.
